Meet Bella the Boxer

Bella was born in July 2011 at the small town of Cumberland in British Columbia. She is a purebred Boxer. Her litter comprised four females and two males. The stud was too young for his pups to be recognized so Bella could only be sold as a pet, not a show dog. At just over 2 months of age, she is as active as she should be. Bella was the first of her litter to be adopted. Her new owners took her home to Shawnigan Lake on southern Vancouver Island.

Bella's Second Day at Home

Day 2: Bella barely avoided getting her head squished in the sliding door while in hot pursuit of cat. Stairs now a convenient efficient conduit for more things to chew Discovered it’s fun to dig (and regrettably – digs very well) Breached kitchen barrier to rest of house Made it clear that she does not sleep alone; and definitely does not do the dog cage thing Re-discovered barking and whining Thinks that breakfast toast is communal property

Bella's First Day At Her New Home

Day 1: $47.69 for 10 kilogram bag of good dog food. People used to complain about $25 for 18 kilograms of food. Bella respects barrier between the kitchen and rest of house. What a smart dog! Bella discovered the stairs – another effective barrier. She discovered the screen door while in pursuit of cat – another barrier She found hundreds of new chew toys; including most prized piece of furniture; poisonous plants, etc She chased her first rabbit. Rabbits beware!
